Atlantic
Wave
Inspired
by the Atlantic breakers that rise up with grace, beauty
and power, covered in a veil of flowing white lace,
they rush faster and faster until they plunge head
long into the shagged rocks, like heart broken maidens,
they disappear but never die in our hearts and in our
memories.

Skaill
This
collection was designed by Julie Hagan, a local lass
who draws her inspiration from the things of nature
she has grown up with, on the beautiful island of
Westray.
These designs come from the shells that God’s perfect hand has formed.
Julie uses the curves and shapes found on the shells to give her fresh and
strong designs capable of touching each and every individual in that special
way.

St.
Boniface
This
design was taken from a incised cross stone slab
found in 1920 at the St Boniface Kirk in Papa Westray,
it is thought to be Christian and Pictish, a simple
but mystical design that draws and holds your attention,
dating to the 8th century.

This
collection was inspired by the surf and the waves,
which are created by the frenzied courtship of the
North Atlantic and the North Sea. These waves meet
in a whirl pool of romance at the north end of Westray,
then continue to flow through the shallows of the
Vian, marry, and are united in peace.
“ The power of the sea”
“ The peace of the sea”

Westray
Stone
This
collection was inspired from the carvings found on
a stone found in a tomb on Westray, dating to approx.
3000BC. Each piece is crafted by hand, drawing on
the inspiration that led our Neolithic ancestors
to create such a perfect spiral and lozenge design,
thus giving a feeling of peace and tranquility, which
can still be felt on the island of Westray.
